Monday, July 6th 2015 will certainly be a memorable date for Introbiz and everyone associated for the foreseeable future. At the Mercure Holland House, Cardiff, we were fortunate enough to welcome global entrepreneur Wendy Stevens and motivational speaker Camilita Nuttall to a very unique event.
We welcomed over 100 companies for one evening to network and to gain some amazing Linked In and business advice from the professionals within these fields. The event kicked off at around 4pm while everyone was busy networking with each other, before the presentations kicked off.
Tracey and Paul, Introbiz’s founders and Managing Directors called for attention as everyone took their seats, ready and waiting. Tracey began by talking about how she started out and how, for a few months, she got networking very wrong. She then discussed how she took some very sound advice from a fellow networker and friend on how to improve her networking skills. She spotted a gap in the market, and Introbiz was born! Tracey then went on to talk about how Paul got on board with the company and how, now with 8 members of staff, the company has never looked back.
International speaker and bestselling author, Sharon Lechter then appeared via a video link all the way from Arizona and she spoke passionately about the power of association. When asked how Sharon feels about Linked In, she revealed that she loved it and how it’s great for targeting and communicating with your audience. We’ll be hearing more from Sharon again, via a video link at the Expo later this year.
Wendy Stevens then took to the stage to talk about how to use Linked In effectively and revealed that the true inspiration behind her success is her family. She then went on to talk about the worldwide social media platform, Linked In. Did you know that there are over 350million users worldwide?! That’s a lot of people! The point Wendy kept hammering home was that when you’re using Linked In to promote your products or services, you need to remember to include, what’s in it for THEM, the customers? How will your product or service impact on THEM? With her sound knowledge and wealth of expertise, everyone’s certainly keen to hear more from her at the Expo in November.
Camilita Nuttall then wrapped up the event with a flamboyant and energetic presentation. If anyone knows the taste of success, it’s Camilita. Having seen true poverty in Trinidad before she moved to the UK, she now boasts a portfolio worth millions in property. She is now in a strategic alliance with both Sharon Lechter and Wendy Stevens. She also touched on a really interesting theory which is that no matter who you are, you’re always three feet from gold, meaning that you’re always three feet away from financial security, which was really interesting to know!
Everyone left the event feeling incredibly inspired and ready to make the most out of Linked In and to improve their businesses beyond their dreams. We’d like to thank all the speakers for all their invaluable advice – we truly cannot wait to hear you all speak at the Expo later this year!
We’d also like to say a big thank you to the staff at the Mercure Holland House for all their tireless work and to Ebbw Media for filming the event – we look forward to seeing the end result guys! You’ll be able to see the video very soon but in the meantime, you can head to the Introbiz gallery to see the images.
Our next social networking event will be held at Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant located in Park Place, Cardiff, on Thursday, July 16th from 4pm.
