The Zip Slide Challenge with The Pituitary Foundation

1 February 2016

Pituitary Foundation

Have you ever thought what it’d feel like to be able to fly?

Well, wonder no more because you can get the feeling while doing something incredible for a fantastic charity. The Pituitary Foundation is arranging the zip slide challenge in Chepstow later this year.

You’ll be hoisted 70 metres high above a quarry and as you go along the zip wire, you’ll reach speeds of up to 40mph. The Wire is one of the UK’s longest, tallest and fastest zip slides so you’ll be sure to feel a buzz like no other as you glide along.

The money raised will be a great benefit for those affected with pituitary conditions. It’s estimated that there are between 50,000 – 70,000 pituitary patients here in the UK and the conditions range from Cushing’s disease to non-functioning tumours to diabetes. The charity supports anyone directly or indirectly affected. The funds raised are vital for further research and care needed to beat the conditions.

There are some restrictions for this challenge – you can check them out here http://www.pituitary.org.uk/get-involved/fundraising/challenges/zip-slide-challenge/

To take part, the price for adults is £15 and the suggested minimum sponsorship is £50 and the children’s price is £10 and the suggested minimum sponsorship is £30.

To book your place to take part, contact Jay Sheppard on jay@pituitary.org.uk or call 0117 3701314.
