Afternoon of Training with Ask Head Office and Introbiz

This week’s event is a special one, we are at the Parc Thistle hotel located in the heart of Cardiff city centre for an afternoon filled with learning, practicing and of course, networking.

On Thursday, February 5th from 2pm, Introbiz members and visitors are all invited to learn about employment law and HR with Ask Head Office followed by a networking training session with Tracey and Paul, Introbiz’s managing director.

Here’s the agenda for the afternoon, trust me, there’s plenty to benefit everyone!

2pm – Seminar hosted by Ask Head Office – “What ALL businesses need to know”

Andrew Baker of Ask Head Office will be presenting a very interesting seminar focussing on what ALL business need to know about employment law and HR.

Here’s a summary of the seminar:

All businesses are different. They all work in different ways, have different goals and face different challenges. However, there is one thing that all businesses have in common – if they fall foul of the stringent employment laws, they can face large financial penalties.

The same laws apply whether you are a large multi-site organisation employing thousands of people or a small business with only one or two employees.

This session will guide you through the employment law and HR basics that all businesses need to be aware of before employing new people.

3pm – Networking Training with Tracey and Paul

FA Wales & Introbiz Business ClubFollowing this very informative seminar, Tracey and Paul, Introbiz’s founders and managing directors will be presenting an hour long networking training session.

They’ll be discussing how to network effectively, how to make the most out of attending our weekly networking events, and how to use social media platforms such as Linked In and Twitter to showcase your business in the best possible way. They’ll also discuss the importance of referrals.

If you’re new to the world of networking, or even if you’re simply just a bit rusty, then come along to this seminar for plenty of tips and advice.

4-6pm – Networking Event

Following this, our power group event will take place. The first hour will be used for informal networking while you enjoy the delicious refreshments on offer.

The second hour will be used for the power group tables. At this point, you’ll be sat on a colour coded table with around 10 other businesses and you’ll take it in turns to speak for 5 minutes about yourself and your business.

This is a great way for your new found connections to get to know you a little better. At the end of the session, you’ll get the chance to ask and answer any questions that you may have and you can hand out your business cards. This is also a great opportunity to make notes and reminders to follow up with your connections.
