We’ve been arranging this particular event with Lexus and Toyota for a long time so we really couldn’t wait to see what our members and guests thought of the brand new Business Club. We’ve been on the phone with both Bethan Cottam of Toyota and Dominic Attard of Lexus all week ensuring that everything was perfect for the event, but we needn’t have worried – it really was a fantastic event!
The Introbiz team and the Lexus and Toyota staff were up at the crack of dawn to ensure everything was ready and in order for the event. The banners, badges and the breakfast were all laid out and ready to welcome our many guests. Everyone chirpily arrived at the luxurious, glass venue ready to do some networking over a delicious breakfast and to enjoy some of the early morning sunshine. There were lots of shiny, new cars stood in the showroom and they certainly seemed to be drawing much attention!
The breakfast was then served. Thick bacon butties and flaky, delicious pastries certainly attracted the attention of our guests. The food was absolutely beautiful, just the ticket to prepare for the business day ahead. The socialising and networking continued long into the morning which was great to see! It was also great to see so many of our visitors enjoying the buzz and familiarity that Introbiz always bring to our events!
At around 9am, the speeches started. Paul and Tracey, the Introbiz Managing Directors, spoke to the huge crowd gathered about the upcoming events and the fact that there are only 9 more weeks to go until Wales’ Biggest Business Exhibition…eeeek! Katie Brickle of International Greetings then introduced her company and was kind enough to offer some of their products for a business card draw later that morning. Then, Dominic and Bethan were introduced and spoke about the work that they do and what they can offer the Introbiz members when buying a Lexus or Toyota –way too many perks to list!
The crowd was then told that there was another little competition to be had – you members and visitors are so lucky! Dominic and Bethan had spent a lot of time blowing up many, many balloons and putting them in the car and our guests had to guess how many were stowed inside.
At 9:30am, the draw was made and Emma Casburn of Infinite Travel was fortunate to win some goodies courtesy of International Greetings, as did John Evans of Lucid Ventures and Amy Dugdale of SGD Security. Congratulations guys! Then, came the competition everyone had been waiting for – how many balloons were in the car. There were 94 balloons in the car and would you believe it, John Evans of Lucid Ventures won again! He won a luxurious car to keep for the weekend, fully insured and fuelled so make sure you have a great time with it John and congratulations!
We’d like to say a massive thank you to all the Lexus and Toyota staff for allowing the event to happen and of course, to Spiros Caterers for serving up a truly delicious breakfast for us all. We can’t wait to come back and host another event here – so thank you all very much. We’d also like to thank everyone for getting up so early and coming along to the event – it was great to see you all, members and guests. We’ll see you all again soon, no doubt!
Next week, we will be at Mint and Mustard for a spectacular social event for all you lovely people! The event will take place on Thursday, July 31st from 4-6pm, and there will be an array of delicious canapes and cocktails and an Indian buffet, with lots of delicious dishes for you to try! There’ll be more details to follow so make sure you keep an eye out on our website and social media pages!
