December’s first networking event of 2014 was at the beautiful Vale Resort, located in the Vale of Glamorgan in the heart of the Welsh countryside. There were countless members and visitors attending this unique event so we knew it was going to be a great one.
The crowds started to arrive quite early, keen to get away from the wintery chill. The flaky pastries, beautiful biscuits and steaming teas and coffees were ready to be enjoyed by visitors and members alike.
Sponsoring the event were members, International Greetings, the official cracker supplier to the Royal Family no less!
The crowds started to gather at the conservatory at around 4pm, ready to start networking. It was great to see some new faces as well as the ones we’re more familiar with. As everyone gathered and started to network with one another, the refreshments were served. At 5pm, Tracey and Paul Smolinski, Introbiz’s masterminds called for everyone’s attention. Tracey started by welcoming everyone along to the event and reiterated the importance of following up with your new found connections. Paul then went on to speak about our last few events of 2014 and concluded by introducing the event’s sponsor, Katie Brickle of International Greetings.
Katie explained a bit about the company and went on to say what an honour it was to supply their products to the Royal Family. She also gave us some really cool facts, such as the company has produced enough wrapping paper this year to go to the moon and back, twice! Katie finished by mentioning the special offer only available to Introbiz members, where a pack of crackers, which is usually sold for £70 each, is now being offered for only £20. Everyone was then invited to take their place at their designated power group table. Here, every member of the table gets 5 minutes to talk about themselves and their business. It’s also a great opportunity to hand out your business cards and to make notes about any useful contacts to you.
