Introbiz Raise £11,000 for The Pituitary Foundation

27 January 2015

As a business network, we’re truly honoured to be working with such a fantastic charity. The Pituitary Foundation is a very small charity based in Bristol offers support and advice to anyone both directly and indirectly affected by a pituitary condition. The team work tirelessly every single day to make a difference and their work is well and truly appreciated.

pituitaryThroughout 2014, we’ve worked closely with Jay Sheppard, the Fundraising and Marketing Manager on behalf of the charity to organise and host events to raise some serious cash. We hosted a net-walking event back in May 2014, where Introbiz members and supporters of the charity climbed Pen-y-Fan Mountain in the Brecon Beacons.

Then, in November, as we do every year, we hosted Beaujolais Day in the Madeira Restaurante in Cardiff. After a delicious meal and Beaujolais wine, we hosted a raffle and auction where all the funds were donated to the charity.

We wanted to notify our members and everyone who donated and took part in any of the fundraising activities that were held throughout the year, that the Pituitary Foundation staff, trustees, volunteers and most importantly the service users would like to say a massive thank you to you all!

The total amount we all raised was a whopping £11,105.66. As well as this staggering amount, the charity was also able to make great savings because you members are so extremely generous. You offered gifts from print jobs to logistics, and for that, the team can never thank you enough.

The charity is growing year on year and as a result, the team is supporting more patients than ever before. On average, they support around 2,500 patients through their helpline every year so they truly rely on the generosity shown to them by you.

The Pituitary Foundation hopes to build further on the success of 2014 throughout 2015. On behalf of both The Pituitary Foundation and Introbiz, thank you all for your hard work and tremendous support!  Pituitary Walk Everyone
