We were very excited for this event to kick off – it means that the Wales’ Biggest Business Exhibition is quickly approaching! The aim of the Pre-Business Exhibition event is to offer lots of hints, tips and advice on how to make the most out of your exhibition stand along with the chance to buy your promotional merchandise and material to dress your stand.
The event kicked off at 10am at the Ricoh suite, Cardiff City football stadium and around 100 visitors walked through the door, ready to learn all about how to exhibit. After some networking, which we always like to see, Tracey and Paul took to the stage to invite everyone to take their seats to listen to the presentations.
Paul then started his presentation. He spoke and advised the room on how to make the most out of their exhibition stands. The presentation explained about the do’s and don’ts, the agenda for Wales’ Biggest Business Exhibition and, of course, a mention of all our wonderful suppliers. Paul then introduced Lisa Worland of PA Promotions to the stage. Lisa talked about the family run business and that they can make literally anything branded for you! Interestingly, the best and most requested promotional material requested is none other than a…..pen! Useful, light and colourful, it has the most chance of being memorable with a 99% chance that the pen will be used. A very insightful and interesting statistic.
There was then a little refreshment break and a chance for our visitors to look at the stands that were dotted around the room. PA Promotions had a few stands filled with merchandise so that the consumers could see and feel the products – a rare opportunity. Ricoh had a stand exhibiting their services and products along with demonstrations. Genero Productions also had a stand and were kept busy throughout the event, explaining what they can do to make your stand, stand out.
The visitors were then invited to sit back down for the second batch of presentations. Matt of Ricoh Wales, who was also sponsoring the event, gave a short yet informative talk about their services and he was followed by Mike of Genero Productions who also spoke about what they offer.
There was then an hour and a half of networking, refreshments and discussing stand needs. Lots of business was certainly made and many business cards, magazines, catalogues and leaflets were exchanged.
The feedback on the event was brilliant! Everyone had a great time – there was a clear buzz in the air and everybody certainly learned something to take with them to this year’s Business Exhibition.
